The Benavides for Governor campaign today announced their 21-county strategy to publicize the Benavides for Governor write-in campaign, after the Morris County Democrats knocked Lily Benavides off the ballot. The Benavides for Governor 2025 campaign, with former Green Party candidate for governor Madelyn Hoffman as its campaign manager, has already made campaign stops in half of the state’s 21counties. 24 years ago this week, the U.S. began a war with Afghanistan with the Orwellian name of “Operation Enduring Freedom.”  It wasn’t even a full month after the attacks on September 11th that killed almost 3,000 people and took down New York’s iconic Twin Towers. A traumatized public was quick to accept whatever scapegoats the Bush administration threw their way, and while the War On Terror was just getting started, its first target was Afghanistan. Green Party Endorses Global Sumud Flotilla On September 6, the Green Party of Pennsylvania (GPPA) Steering Committee proudly endorsed the Global Sumud (Resilience) Flotilla, which is attempting to break the illegal siege of Gaza. This endorsement was requested by Bryarr Misner, a Green Party organizer from Allegheny County. The flotilla consists of more than 50 vessels with more than 1,000 participants from 44 counties.
